In a modern kitchen, technology and design have to come together. That is exactly what Wave does. Its range hoods combine powerful extraction with lighting in one sleek object, and its separate designer lights create atmosphere above the kitchen island, the bar or the dining table. Wave range hoods are available as wall-mounted, island, built-in and ceiling models, with dimmable LED lighting. Almost all models work on recirculation with a carbon filter or plasma filter: the air is filtered and returns clean to the kitchen. You choose the finish yourself: stainless steel, a colour from the Wave Colour Collection or a colour of your choice.
What makes Wave special?
Wave stands for design with refined details: slender lines, beautiful finishes and lighting integrated into the design. A Wave hood is therefore more than an extractor. It is a light source and an eye-catcher in your kitchen. Under the bonnet is modern technology, such as energy-efficient LED lighting with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
Wave range hoods
The range is divided into three families, depending on how your kitchen is laid out.
Wall-mounted hoods
If your hob is against the wall, choose a wall-mounted hood. There is the oval OVAL for those who love soft shapes and the straight LINE for a minimalist interior. The cylindrical CYLINDER and GLOBAL are true statement pieces too.
Island hoods
Above a cooking island hangs an island hood. Here you will find the same family, such as OVAL and LINE, complemented by, for example, the spherical SPHERE and the round CIRCO. Several island hoods feature perimeter extraction, which draws in the fumes all around the hood.
Built-in and ceiling units
If you want the hood to all but disappear, there are built-in and ceiling units. They are integrated into a wall of cabinets or the ceiling. Many of these units come without a motor, so you choose between an internal motor or an external motor.
Recirculation: clean air back into the kitchen
Virtually all models work on recirculation. The air passes through the grease filter and a carbon filter or plasma filter and returns purified to the kitchen. The plasma filter cleans itself, does not become saturated under normal use and is maintenance-free for approx. 12 to 15 years. That makes installation easy and you lose no heat. Maintenance is straightforward: clean the metal grease filters regularly and replace the carbon filters when they are saturated. You will find more explanation in Ventilation without heat loss.
Wave lighting
Alongside its hoods, Wave has its own line of designer lighting. The lights are dimmable, with warm-white light of 2700 Kelvin and a CRI above 85 for natural colour rendering.
Wave Bar 7229
The Bar is a slim linear light with up- and downlight, available in lengths from 120 to 240 cm. What makes it special is the control: with gesture control you switch the light on and off with a wave of your hand, handy when your hands are full. The light weighs just 0.75 kg per metre.
Wave Oval 7391, Circle 7395 and Hairpin 7543
The Oval (120, 180 or 240 cm), the round Circle (Ø 60 to 120 cm) and the Hairpin (210 cm) are slender pendant lights with an even light surface for above the dining table or kitchen island. They are dimmable and black as standard (RAL 9005 mat).
Wave Rail 7933
The Rail is the same light line as the Bar, but for the wall, in lengths from 120 to 240 cm and with gesture control.
Wave Moods 7611
The Moods is a minimalist wall light for ambient lighting, with two dimmable 2.2 W LEDs delivering 450 lumens together. There is also a leather version, see Wave leather colours. You will find all lighting in one place.
Colours and finishes
Most range hoods are stainless steel as standard (the SPHERE is white as standard, most lights black). You can also choose from the seven colours of the Wave Colour Collection: Satin Bronze, Pearl Grey, Anodic Brown, Smoked Silver, Champagne Gold, Rose Copper and Ivory Greige, or a colour of your choice (no metallic). Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a Wave range hood and a Wave light?
A range hood combines extraction with lighting. The designer lights are purely lighting and have no extraction. They complement the hoods beautifully if you want extra light above the kitchen island.
How much extraction capacity does a Wave hood have?
That depends on the model and the motor. The Wave wall-mounted and island hoods with a fixed internal motor move 400 m³/h at 51 dB(A); the FRAME models with extraction unit 850 m³/h. You will find the exact values for each model on the product page.
How long does the LED lighting last?
The LED lighting has a lifespan of 50,000 hours. At eight hours a day, that is more than seventeen years. The LEDs are not replaceable.
Can I install a Wave hood myself?
We recommend a qualified professional for the electrical connection. A recirculation hood is easy to install. You can often hang lights yourself, but always follow the manual.
