The filter has been specially developed to purify cooking odours and can be easily placed on the extractor hood motor.

When the extractor hood is switched on, the air flow is set in motion. The air flow is blown into the PlasmaMade filter and is detected by a sensor that switches the filter on or off fully automatically.

Depending on the airflow and amount of dirty air (smoke, pollen, bacteria, moisture, odors, viruses, molds) the amount of ionization plasma (O3) is injected. This ionized plasma (O3) extracts the O2 molecules from the dirty air, whereby dirty air is decomposed, leaving only Co2 and water vapor. At the same time, the glass fiber filter is activated by the electrostatic filter, whereby they work together and attract all dust particles and then eliminate (burn) them. The minimal smoke particles that are released in this process are then decomposed by ionized plasma (O3) and finally all air is filtered once more by a carbon filter.
